The 10 Best Countries to Live In

THE 10 BEST COUNTRIES TO LIVE IN

The UK came just 25th in International Living magazine's 30th annual survey of the best countries to live in.  So which came top?

The survey analysed almost 200 countries.  Results were based on 9 criteria including the cost of living, leisure and culture, economy, environment, freedom, health, infrastructure, safety and climate.
France topped the poll for the 5th year in a row scoring 82/100.  International Living described the French as having an unsurpassable quality of life, including the world’s best healthcare.

With a score of just 73/100, the UK fell behind Uruguay, Lithuania and The Czech Republic.

Here are the Top 10:
1.  France
2.  Australia
3.  Switzerland
4.  Germany
5.  New Zealand
6.  Luxembourg
7.  The U.S.
8.  Belgium
9.  Canada
10. Italy

I am quite surprised that France came top. Is their healthcare really that good? I think our perception is that countries like Australia, New Zealand and Canada would offer a better lifestyle than France.
