It seems there’s an e-mail virus which even the most advanced programmes from Norton or McAfee can’t deal with.
It would appear to affect mostly those who were born prior to 1970.
The Symptoms:
*It causes you to send the same e-mail twice. (done that!)
*Causes you to send a blank e-mail! (So done that too!)
*Causes you to send e-mail to the wrong
person, often with disastrous
consequences. Yep!
*Causes you to send an email back to the
person who sent it to you. (Er, duh!)
*Causes you to forget to attach the
attachment. Again and again and
a-gain.
*Causes you to hit "SEND" before
you've finished. (Known as ‘premature
epistolation’ in learned circles).
*Causes you to hit "DELETE" instead of "SEND." Aaaaaagh!
*Causes you to hit "SEND" when you should "DELETE." Even worse.
This nasty little affliction is fondly referred to as the C-Nile Virus. There’s no software solution and no known cure. Maybe it’s time we set up a support group? Preferably in the local pub.
