BATTLE OF THE SINS



Men and women sin in totally different ways according to the Vatican. The claim is based on a careful analysis of data from the confessional.  Ooo-er!

We all know the traditional seven deadly sins are – in no particular order – pride, envy, anger, sloth, greed, gluttony and lust. 

However the Vatican has suggested some modern new ones be added ie. genetic modification, human experimentation, polluting the environment, social injustice, causing poverty, financial gluttony and the taking or selling of drugs. So that’s fourteen in total then.
 

So Which Sins?
 

Which of these many sins, then, are males and females respectively guilty of?


Apparently if you’re a man, your number one sin is lust.  (Well, I never….).  After that comes gluttony and then sloth.






If you’re a woman, your top sin of choice is pride, closely followed by envy and then anger. 

Interesting that the irreverent website cracked.com has just published an article entitled ‘Five things you think will make you happy (but won’t).  The results are eerily similar to the Vatican’s confessionally-generated data.  The five things were power, genius, beauty, wealth and fame.
