10 Ways to Get Fit Without Exercising

10 WAYS TO GET FIT WITHOUT EXERCISING
 

You can get fitter without the grinding chore of dull and deliberate exercise.  The secret is to incorporate fitness-enhancing activity into your daily life. You'll be fit before you know it!


1.  Walkies!

Replace driving with walking whenever you can. Use a pedometer to measure how much ground you cover – it’ll motivate you to walk more and you may be surprised how many miles you can cover in a day! 

If you really must drive, park your car farther away from the shops or work so you can incorporate a few more steps into your daily routine.



 


2.  Change Your Shoes

8. Play!


Have fun with your pets or your kids. Play fetch with the dog and skip with or chase the the kids. Your relationship will benefit from the time spent together and your fitness level (as well as theirs) will increase.  A win-win situation!

Clean your Home


Do it with gusto and it’s a great way of increasing your activity level. Two birds, one stone!  A fitter you and a cleaner home.

To get the best out of your session, do a bit of a leg lunge every time you push the vacuum forward, do some squats when you clean items at lower levels and have fun with exaggerated arm movements when cleaning mirrors. Why not put on some really funky music and add some rhythm!



10. Invest in a Wii.
 

You’ll have so much fun playing the games you’ll hardly notice how much energy you’re expending!  Various games exercise lots of different parts of your body.  Beware though - you may find yourself surprisingly sore the following day!
