When to Start Your Diet

When's the Best Time to Start your Weight-loss Programme?

Day 1 of your period is the best time to start your weight-loss programme according to researchers at the University of Massachusetts.  They  found that women will eat 12% less during menstruation due to the effects of oestrogen levels.

There's also an interesting astrological theory that New moons are the best time to start a diet and the time that you might be tempted toward nervous eating or overindulgence might be around the time of the full moon.

So it follows that the best time to start a diet is if your period starts on a new moon.  So - until then - enjoy your treats!

And when's the worst time to start your programme?

Day 14 is the worst time as your appetite is naturally boosted by hormones, meaning you now have the perfect excuse to indulge in chocolate.  It's entirely outwith your control!
