Where to take in laws

Edinburgh Girl's picture

My in-laws are coming to stay in a few weeks and they do not really know Edinburgh.  They have done the tourist bit so i was looking for something different to do, somewhere interesting to take them or do.  Does anyone have any suggestions.  My in-laws are in fine fettle so will be up for most activities!

The water of Leith is a nice walk and you can do as much of it as you want. Botanic gardens? Have they done Arthur's seat?

I take rellies up to the Pentland reservoirs around Balerno - always goes down well on a nice day. Took my father-in law for a tour around the Brittania - he thought it was great. A walk out on the causeway to Cramond Island's nice (if you time it right!) and there's a lovely walk back up by the river as well.
