1. Acceptance of Terms of Service
Meanings and definitions used in this Agreement:"Agreement" - means this agreement for users of the informedwoman.co.uk site; "Discussion Forums" - means the chat areas, bulletin-boards or forum facilities provided on informedwoman.co.uk; "informed" and “informedwoman.co.uk” - means informedwomen.co.uk.  "Service" - means the service(s) provided by the Site; "Site(s)" - means the web site(s) owned and operated by informedwomen.co.uk.

2. Introduction to Agreement
(a) This Site is owned and operated by informedwomen.co.uk
(b) This Agreement governs the use of the Site and Service produced by informedwomen.co.uk, including participation in the Discussion Forums.
(c) The Service is designed to provide a forum, enjoyable for all, for the exchange of opinions, comments and information and, therefore, informedwomen.co.uk requires its users to abide by the rules of this Agreement. Your use of the Service will constitute your agreement to comply with these rules.
(d) If you do not agree with the rules contained in this Agreement, you should not use the Service.
(e) informedwomaen.co.uk may modify this Agreement from time to time and notice of revisions to this Agreement will be posted here. Continued use of the Service by you will constitute your acceptance of any changes or revisions to the Agreement, so it's wise to check this page regularly.
(f) We may terminate your access to the Service, without notice, in addition to our other remedies if you fail to follow this Agreement and the Service's rules.
2.1 informedwomen.co.uk is provided free of charge to you by informedwomen.co.uk ("informedwomen.co.uk") under these terms of service (Terms of Service). These Terms of Service govern your use of informedwomen.co.uk (whether you are a member, a subscriber or a visitor) and govern all services provided to you by informedwomen.co.uk in connection with informedwomen.co.uk, including but not limited to, access to message boards and use of any email accounts, and other features and services such as personal home pages, provided from time to time. 2.2 informedwomen.co.uk is intended for use by you in the United Kingdom only. We make no warranty or representation that informedwomen.co.uk (or any element of it) is appropriate or available for use in locations outside the United Kingdom. Accessing informedwomen.co.uk from territories where your access to it is prohibited or where such service (or any part thereof) is considered illegal or unlawful is not permitted under these Terms of Service. If you choose to access informedwomen.co.uk from locations outside the United Kingdom, you do so on your own initiative and you are responsible for compliance with all applicable local laws.

3. Amendments
3.1 We reserve the right to amend these Terms of Service from time to time without notice to you. Please check the Terms of Service periodically to see whether a change has been made to them. We may (at our discretion) provide you notice of such changes to any email address you have provided to informedwomen.co.uk. 4. Registration
4.1 Although portions of informedwomen.co.uk may be viewed by anyone who visits informedwomen.co.uk you will need to register as a member in order to access some informedwomen.co.uk services including the message boards.
4.2 When you register with us you are stating that you are over 18 years of age or are a minor over 13 years of age with parental consent to use the service you are registering for. PLEASE NOTE that all minors are recommended to discuss these terms and conditions with their parents or legal guardian before they complete any registration process or provide us with any information about themselves. We do not allow persons who we know to be 13 years of age or younger to register with informedwomen.co.uk.
4.3 You agree that any information you provide to us about yourself upon registration or at any other time will be true, accurate and complete and that you will ensure that this information is kept accurate and up to date at all times. informedwomen.co.uk reserves the right to terminate your membership and access to any specific content if informedwomen.co.uk learns that you have provided informedwomen.co.uk with false or misleading registration information.

5. Password and Security
5.1 When you register to use informedwomen.co.uk you will be asked to create a password. You must keep this password confidential and must not disclose it to or share it with anyone. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE for all activities that occur under your password. If you know or suspect that someone else knows your password you agree to notify us immediately at password@informedwomen.co.uk .

7. Your use of informedwomen.co.uk
7.1 informedwomen.co.uk does not read every message posted on the message boards and, as such, we do not guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of such content. While we require all users of informedwomen.co.uk to comply with these Terms of Service (including the standards below), you understand that, by using informedwomen.co.uk, it is possible that you may be exposed to content that is offensive, indecent or objectionable. If you see a message which you believe breaks the following standards please report it to us immediately using the 'Report this message' link at the bottom of the post. All reports are reviewed as soon as possible during normal office hours. The views expressed on our message boards are not those of informedwomen.co.uk.
7.2 You alone are responsible for the content of your messages and your use of informedwomen.co.uk and the consequences of any such messages. By using informedwomen.co.uk you agree to comply with the following guidelines:
(a) informedwomen.co.uk is to be used by you for your personal use only and use of informedwomen.co.uk for commercial purposes or to obtain financial gain are strictly prohibited without informedwomen.co.uk's prior written consent.
(b) informedwomen.co.uk may not be used to send chain letters, junk mail, 'spam', solicitations (commercial or non-commercial) or bulk communications of any kind unless the recipient has given specific permission to be included in such a list. informedwomen.co.uk may not be used to advertise a company, product or service or to recruit staff without informedwomen.co.uk's prior written consent.
(c) You are not permitted to post links to alternative community groups unless it is with the express permission of informedwomen.co.uk.
(d) You may not post to informedwomen.co.uk or use informedwomen.co.uk to publish, send or distribute any message or material (in any media or form) that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, obscene, profane, threatening, racially or sexually or otherwise discriminatory, offensive, inaccurate, is in breach of confidence or a third party's intellectual property rights or which otherwise includes objectionable material of any kind or nature, that encourages or engages in conduct that could constitute a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability or otherwise violate any applicable local, national or international law or regulation or which has a disruptive influence on the normal flow of a message board. (e) You (whether acting in your capacity as a journalist in any media or otherwise) may not post appeals for case histories on any informedwomen.co.uk message boards. Unauthorised appeals will be removed.
(f) You must not impersonate any other person or entity, whether actual or fictitious.
(g) You must not create any member names which mimic or impersonate an informedwomen.co.uk member of staff, Community Moderator, Community Leader or other informedwomen.co.uk member.
(h) You must not use informedwomen.co.uk or any part of informedwomen.co.uk in a way that might reasonably be expected to cause the same to be interrupted, damaged, rendered less efficient or which could in any way damage the operation of another's computer.
(i) You will not harass or intimidate any informedwomen.co.uk member either on a message board or via email communication.
(j) You must not post or use any part of informedwomen.co.uk to distribute or send any illegal material of any kind, including but not limited to, illegal material in the form of text, graphics, video, programs or audio. Posting content or participating in any form of discussion with the intention to commit any illegal activity is strictly prohibited.
7.3 informedwomen.co.uk reserves the right in its absolute discretion at any time to edit, alter, delete or move any material whatsoever posted to, appearing on or distributed by informedwomen.co.uk and you. informedwomen.co.uk will not enter into any discussions about its decision to edit, alter, delete or move such material.
7.4 informedwomen.co.uk may at any time, and without prior or post warning, close discussions on message boards as it feels appropriate. No discussion will be entered into.
7.5 In the event of uploading photographs you agree: (i) you are over the age of 13; (ii) you have reviewed and agree to comply with these Terms of Service (unless you are aged 14-17 years old, in which case, your parent or guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms of Service on your behalf); (iii) you have the rights necessary to authorise informedwomen.co.uk and its designees to copy, distribute, adapt, display, perform and otherwise use the photograph, and you hereby grant such authorisation; (iv) the individual depicted in the photograph is over the age of 13, or you have obtained the consent of the individual's parent or guardian, and such individual has consented to the photograph being made publicly available in connection with the informedwomen.co.uk Website; (v) the photograph has not been modified or altered in any manner so as to distort or misrepresent any individual or thing depicted in the photograph; (vi) the photograph does not contain any personal information such as a name, phone number or email address; and photographs of groups or offensive materials may not be posted. informedwomen.co.uk reserves the right in its sole discretion to remove or not post any photograph, for any reason. Also, you acknowledge that informedwomen.co.uk requires that any submitted photograph should not contain potentially offensive materials. If you would like to have your photo removed. Materials submitted to informedwomen.co.uk will not be returned to the submitting party and informedwomen.co.uk has no obligation to inform you of any decision to remove or not post such materials.
7.6. Informedwomen.co. owns all material on this Site. You may retrieve and display content from this Site on a computer screen, print individual pages on paper (but not photocopy them) and store such pages in electronic form on disk (but not on any server or other storage device connected to a network) for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not in any way make commercial or other unauthorised use, by publication, re-transmission, distribution, performance, caching or otherwise, of material obtained through the Service.
(a) You acknowledge that all brands are trade marks and that you may not use them without prior written permission from Informedwomen.co.uk.
(b) You may not authorise others to use the Service, and you are responsible for all of your own use of the Service. You agree not to use any obscene, indecent or offensive language, or to place on the Service any material that is false, defamatory, abusive, harassing or hateful. Further, you may not place on the Service any material that is encrypted, constitutes junk mail or unauthorised advertising, invades anyone's privacy, encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offence or give rise to civil liability, or that otherwise violates any local, state, national or international law or regulation. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and you acknowledge that your failure to do so may subject you to civil and criminal liability.
(c) Other than connecting to Informedwomen.co.uk's servers by HTTP requests using a Web browser, you may not attempt to gain access to Informedwomen.co.uk's servers by any means, including, without limitation, by using administrator passwords or by masquerading as an administrator while using the Service or otherwise.
(d) You are responsible for ensuring that any material you provide to the Service or post in a Discussion Area, including but not limited to text, photographs and sound, does not violate the copyright, trademark, trade secret or any other personal or proprietary rights of any third party.
(e) You agree not to disrupt, modify or interfere with the Service or its associated software, hardware and servers in any way, and you agree not to impede or interfere with others' use of the Service. You further agree not to alter or tamper with any information or materials on, or associated with, the Service.
(f) You acknowledge that Informedwomen.co.uk has not reviewed and does not endorse the content of all sites linked to from this Service and is not responsible for the content or actions of any other sites linked to from this Service. Linking to any other service or site from this Service is at your sole risk.
7.7 You agree to use informedwomen.co.uk only for lawful purposes, and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of informedwomen.co.uk. Prohibited behaviour includes harassing or causing distress or inconvenience to any person, transmitting obscene or offensive content or disrupting the normal flow of dialogue within informedwomen.co.uk.
7.8 If you use multiple logins for the purpose of disrupting the community or annoying other users you may have action taken against your accounts.

8. Use of the Discussion Forums By You
8.1  These Discussion Forum rules have been put in place to help ensure that the Discussion Forum is a welcoming and useful resource for everyone that participates. These rules outline what is deemed unacceptable behaviour and it is important to read them carefully. • Do not post libellous or defamatory comments • Do not post anything relating to any ongoing or pending trial • Do not post content which you have copied from someone else (i.e. you do not own the copyright) • Do not use profanities • Do not post a personal insult about another user • Do not advertise or solicit • Do not impersonate another user
8.2 We cannot and do not review every post before it appears on the site. Informedwomen.co.uk operates a 'notice and take-down' policy which means if Informedwomen.co.uk notices or is made aware of a post that contravenes these rules, Informedwomen.co.uk reserves the right to amend or remove the post.
8.3 Informedwomen.co.uk encourages you to contact us if you feel a post violates these rules. Please click the "Report" icon/link to let us know.
8.4 You are responsible for the content of your posts and Informedwomen.co.uk does not accept any liability for the content or accuracy of your messages. Informedwomen.co.uk reserves the right to republish any material you submit.
8.5 Users of the Site may submit material for publication in the Discussion Forums. Informedwomen.co.uk accepts no liability in respect of any material submitted by users and published by Informedwomen.co.uk and Informedwomen.co.uk is not responsible for its content or accuracy.
8.6 If you want to submit material to the Discussion Forums you may do so on the following terms and conditions:
8.7 Publication of any material you submit will be at the sole discretion of Informedwomen.co.uk and Informedwomen.co.uk is entitled to make additions or deletions to any such material prior to publication, after publication or to refuse publication.
8.8 You grant Informedwomen.co.uk a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to republish any material you submit in any format, and you warrant to Informedwomen.co.uk that any material you submit is your own work and that you own the copyright and all relevant rights.
8.9 You warrant that the material you submit is not obscene, offensive, harassing, defamatory or otherwise illegal.
8.10 You agree not to post material that is deliberately intended to upset other users.
8.11 You acknowledge that any breach of these warranties may cause Informedwomen.co.uk damage or loss and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Informedwomen.co.uk in full and permanently against any third party liabilities, claims, costs, loss or damage incurred by Informedwomen.co.uk as a result of publishing any material you submit to us, including consequential loss.
8.12 Postings to the Discussion Forums are not private
8.13  Editing and Deletions
Informedwomen.co.uk reserves the right, but undertakes no duty, to review, edit, move or delete any material posted by users in the Discussion Forums or elsewhere on the Site, in its sole discretion and without notice.

9. Safety
We advise that you never reveal any personal information about yourself or anyone else (for example: telephone number, home address or email address), and please do not include postal addresses of any kind. If you have a helpful address to share, inform informedwomen.co.uk using the 'Contact Us' link, and they will promote it if they see fit.

10. If you're under 16
Please get a parent’s or guardian’s permission before taking part in any informedwomen.co.uk discussion. Never reveal any personal information about yourself or anyone else (for example, telephone number, home address or email address).

11. Intellectual Property
11.1 informedwomen.co.uk, its contents and all Rights therein are owned by informedwomen.co.uk (and/or its licensors). "Rights" means copyright, database rights, trade marks, design rights and other intellectual and proprietary rights of whatever nature, anywhere in the world. You acknowledge that
(i) informedwomen.co.uk is protected by Rights;
(ii) these Rights are valid and protected in all media and technologies existing now or later developed; and (iii) except as explicitly provided otherwise, these Terms of Service and applicable copyright, trademark and other laws govern your use of such Rights.

You also permit any member to access, display, view, store and reproduce such content for personal use.
11.4 By submitting content, you also warrant that you are entitled and have all necessary rights to grant the licences stated above. Subject to the foregoing, the owner of such content placed on informedwomen.co.uk retains any and all Rights that may exist in such content.

12. Third Party Web Sites, Goods and Services
12.1 informedwomen.co.uk provides links to third party web sites that are not affiliated with informedwomen.co.uk (although informedwomen.co.uk branding may appear on these sites). We make no representations as to the quality, suitability, functionality or legality of any sites to which we may provide links or any goods or services available from such sites.
12.2 All matters concerning any goods and services that you purchase from a third party site, including without limitation all contract terms are solely between you and the owner of that site and informedwomen.co.uk will not be liable for any costs or damages to you or any third party arising directly or indirectly out of any third party website. You hereby waive any claim you might have against informedwomen.co.uk with respect to any such sites.
12.3 Subject to the terms of our Privacy Policy, third parties may, from time to time, send email messages to you containing advertisements, promotions, etc.
12.4 informedwomen.co.uk makes no representation or warranty with respect to the content of any email messages sent by third parties or any goods or services which may be obtained from such third parties as a consequence of these emails, and you agree that informedwomen.co.uk shall have no liability with respect thereto.You are advised to verify the accuracy of any information before relying on it. Further, due to the inherent nature of the Internet, errors interruptions and delays may occur in the service at any time. Accordingly, Informedwomen.co.uk's Sites are provided "as is" without any warranties of any kind and Informedwomen.co.uk does not accept any liability arising from any inaccuracy or omission in the information or interruption in availability.

13. Competitions and Prizes
These rules apply to all prize promotions including free draws, prize competitions and instant win offers.
13.1. From time to time Informedwomen.co.uk will run competitions, free prize draws and promotions on this website. These may be subject to additional terms that will be made available at the time.
13.2. Promotions are open to UK residents aged 18 and over.
13.3. Prizes are non-transferable, non-negotiable and no cash alternatives will be offered.
13.4. Informedwomen.co.uk and the promoter reserve the right to substitute the prize for another prize of equal value.
13.5. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY to enter the competitions unless otherwise stated on the promotional activity with a specific competition.
13.6. By entering the prize draw, the entrant agrees to be bound by the rules and by any other requirements set out in the promotional material accompanying the promotion.
13.7. By entering the promotion, the entrant agrees to the terms of the privacy policy. In addition Informedwomen.co.uk may pass your personal information to the promoters and their data processors. However, we always demand that those parties adhere to the same security procedures that we follow ourselves.
13.8. It is assumed that by entering competitions which, if won, could result in time off work, your employer is in agreement to time off. When dates are specified they can not be altered.
13.9. Winners notified shall have five (5) business working days to respond in full to the email or another winner will be drawn.
13.10. By entering the promotion, the winner(s) consent to any publicity generated as a result of the promotion, and use on website or newsletters services at any time.
13.11. Prize draws are open to all residents of the UK, except employees of Informedwomen.co.uk, the promoter and their immediate families, the promoters advertising agency and sales promotion consultancy, and anyone else connected with the creation and administration of the promotion.
13.12. The Sites' Editors' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
13.13 Only one entry per person. Spammers will be disqualified.
13.14. Informedwomen.co.uk will not accept responsibility for lost through technical fault, incomplete, illegible or other damaged entries. Proof of entry is not automatically proof of receipt.

13.17. Where Informedwomen.co.uk runs a competition with a promoter such that the promoter is responsible for the selection and/or the provision of prizes then Informedwomen.co.uk shall not be responsible for or have any liability for the provision of such prizes.
13.18. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland.

14. e-COMMERCE
Informedwomen.co.uk occasionally joins up with selected third party partners to enable you to purchase products and services. Transactions carried out with specified third party partners (and not with Informedwomen.co.uk) will be governed by the third party's standard terms and conditions which may be found on their sites before you transact. From time to time Informedwomen.co.uk may team up with other selected third parties to offer you the opportunity to purchase goods from the site. Such purchases will be with the named third party (and not with Informedwomen.co.uk) and will be governed by the terms and conditions notified to you at the time of purchase. Informedwomen.co.uk cannot and do not accept any responsibility or liability for any losses you may suffer as a result of entering into any transaction with any third party.

From time to time, Informedwomen.co.uk (or selected third parties) may include competitions, promotions or other offers on these Sites. Each such offer shall be subject to its own express terms and may not be available in all jurisdictions.

Whilst informedwomen.co.uk is provided for the general information of the general public, all information is provided on the basis that neither informedwomen.co.uk, its employees or consultants or its members, while such members are participating in informedwomen.co.uk, are engaged in rendering legal, medical, counselling or other professional services or advice. informedwomen.co.uk advises you to seek appropriate professional advice or care for any situation or problem which you may have.
16.3 informedwomen.co.uk shall not be responsible for any loss or damage caused directly or indirectly, by the information or ideas contained, suggested or referenced on informedwomen.co.uk. Your participation in informedwomen.co.uk is solely at your own risk. No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained by you from informedwomen.co.uk UK or through informedwomen.co.uk shall create any warranty not expressly made in these terms of service or imposed by law.
16.4 informedwomen.co.uk makes no warranty that the informedwomen.co.uk will meet your requirements, or that the informedwomen.co.uk network will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error free; nor does informedwomen.co.uk make any warranty as to the results that may be obtained from the use of informedwomen.co.uk.
16.5 You understand and agree that any material and/or data downloaded or otherwise obtained through the use of informedwomen.co.uk is at your own discretion and risk and that you will be solely responsible for any damage to your computer system or loss of data that results from the download of such material and/or data.

17. Limitation of Liability
17.1 Except as required by law, informedwomen.co.uk shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses or damages or loss of profits, data, goodwill, revenue in each case regardless of whether such losses or damages arise in the normal course of events or whether informedwomen.co.uk has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

17.4 We accept no liability (including without limitation) in either contract, tort, negligence, statutory duty or otherwise (to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law) arising out of the use of or access to this website (which includes without limitation) any errors or omissions contained in this website or if the website is unavailable and we shall not be liable for any direct or indirect:•economic losses (including without limitation loss of revenues, data, profits, contracts, use, opportunity, business or anticipated savings); •loss of goodwill or reputation; •special, incidental, consequential loss or damage, suffered or incurred arising out of or in connection with your use of this website and these terms and conditions.

18. Emails and Personal Home Pages
informedwomen.co.uk assumes no responsibility for the deletion of or failure to store e-mail messages or for any problems with its personal home page service. Whilst the security of your personal information is a priority to us, you should be aware that e-mails you send to us are not necessarily secure when they are transmitted to us. If your communication to us or any third party is sensitive or includes highly confidential information such as credit card number, you may want to provide it by post or via the telephone instead.

19.1. Any third party web site that links to this Site must not: - create a frame or any other browser or border environment around the content of this site; - imply that Informedwomen.co.uk is endorsing it or its products or services; - use any Informedwomen.co.uk trade mark displayed on any Informedwomen.co.uk Site without permission from Informedwomen.co.uk; - infringe any intellectual property or other right of any person; - be a web site that contains content that could be construed as distasteful, offensive or controversial.
19.2. Informedwomen.co.uk expressly reserves the right to request that any link in breach of these terms be removed and to take whatever other action it deems appropriate.
