Don't even try to do that, if you do you will find he will start to build an extension on the back so he can go further into it. Men tend to internalise things alot and very rarily talk things through until they have figured out what the answer is themselves. When they go in their caves your best course of action is to get on with your own stuff, treat them as much as you can as if nothing is actually wrong, don't try to force them to talk to you about whatever it is that is bothering them, and simply wait for them to come round.

God if we knew the answer to this one we'd be worth a fortune! Personally I get well p******d off at having to coax my man out of his by basically treating him like a child or small dog. He'll come out in his own time and not before,doesn't matter what else is going on. Lately I've found rolling my eyes and ignoring him works best.
