Cheap nights out in Edinburgh

I'm not a student so I'm not looking for rock-bottom prices.  But I can't afford the likes of Tiger Lilly.  Can anybody recommend somewhere you can get proper, decent grub for under £25 a head?  My current fave is Petit Paris in Queensferry St. where you can get 2 really nice courses for about a tenner but you have to eat before 7.

I think you get a really good meal at Howie's in Victoria St. Good, well presented food at sensible prices.

I like No 1 sushi bar in Tollcross - don't know the address.  Depends what you choose but you can get quite a lot for under £25 a head.
