BEYOND BLONDE - Sleeping Free all over the World....

Why would anyone pay for holiday accommodation if they didn’t have to?  If you have a home in Edinburgh you could be sitting on a little gold mine!  Rent it out for the Festival if you don’t mind missing out on some of the fun yourself or – better still – swap it year round for glamorous homes all over the world!

Last August I swapped my modest Shandon flat for a stunning flat in central Milan full of jaw-dropping antiques.  In one short week we sampled everything Milan had to offer, had a night in Venice (just two hours away by train) and a fabulous day in Lake Como – just 40 mins from Milan’s central train station.  And all for the price of a Queasyjet flight.  A mere £70 return.

This year I’ll be swapping my little home for an interior-designed flat in Nice just off the Promenade des Anglais; a beachfront home in California and some sort of property in Durban, South Africa.  Not only is the accommodation totally free but swappers generally chuck in use of a car as well!

I love the email exchanges with swappers all over the world too.  It’s mind boggling just how much some people are getting around.  I can’t wait to retire and join thousands of full-time swappers who’re fulfilling lifetime ambitions to cover every corner of the globe.  Bring it on!

If you’d like to know more, click here to read my article and see a list of home–swapping sites (my personal fave’s HomeExchange.com).    Bon vacances!!
