1. Bobs
‘The Pixie’- This hot style has been inspired by trend-setting, rebellious, rock-royalty Pixie Geldoff. It’s not an easy look to pull off, since the short, masculine blunt fringe only really suits petite, heart-shaped faces. Selma Blair, Katie Holmes and Elisha Cuthbert have bravely opted for this trend, so ladies if you think you can pull off this look, it'll put you up there with Hollywood’s, hottest A-listers!

‘The Sleek Bob’- This is a classically beautiful cut, easy to maintain and looks great year round. This is the less risqué choice for this season's bob, as it can suit a variety of face shapes. Heart-shaped and diamond shapes will rock this look and it's a very -flattering shape for round- shaped faces so long as the bob ends below the chin. Take inspiration from Hayden Pattiere, bond-girl Gemma Arterton, Natalie Imbrugia and queen of the bob herself; Victoria Beckham.
2. Fringes
The ‘Blunt Fringe’- This trend comes back year after year, due to its adaptability. You can make it glamorous and sophisticated
like Heidi Klum, or ‘rough it up’ like Daisy Lowe and Keira Knightly for an edgier look. Or you can co-ordinate with Fall 08’s hot, upcoming trend and go for a Boho, Folk twist by adding texture and waves like Rachel Bilson.‘The Kate’- This, like the ‘pixie’ takes a lot to pull-off and is a style a lot of us wouldn’t find easy to put up with. Characteristics are a 'just got out of bed', messy texture and a fringe that hangs just over the eyes.

3. Tousled, Messy Curls
This is our favourite winter/springl trend because it couldn’t be easier. Think beach, sea-water hair - it’s dry, messy and casual and yet it’s a hot celebrity trend. The idea is to do as little to your hair as possible so it really does look natural. Look at Nicole Richie, Kate Hudson and Mischa Barton.
4. Braids
This is an easy, pretty trend we saw in the fall tha
t we’re happy to predict y will continue into the new season. Braids across the front on the face go well with long waves, messy-buns or sleeked-back hair. Its very adaptable so tweak it to suit your personal look. From Nicole Richie, to Lauren Conrad ( designer and star of hit US show The Hills), to Gwen Stefani- all the Hollywood Ellite have rocked this trend, day and night.
5. ‘Buns’
‘The Chignon’- This style can be worn in a variety of ways. It's created by securing a loose ponytail and twisting it into either a neat or loose bun depending on how you want it to look.
We’ve seen Jessica Biel sporting a loose Chignon for a red-carpet event.
The Swept-up Chignon ( think Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s) has in the past been worn by Ms. Beckham, looking elegant and classy.
‘The Messy Bun’- running late? This trend merely involves sweeping your hair back into a bun that looks effortless and messy. Yet we’ve seen it coming down the catwalk on Dolce and Gabbana, Donna Karan and Alberto Ferretti. We can be confident the Designers know what’s on trend, so now we can get an extra 20 minutes sleep in the orning. Yesterday's ‘bad hair day’, is bang on trend this season.
6. ‘Sleek Side Part’
All you girls who’ve envied Beyonce, Shakira and Leona for
their hair with natural volume, and bounce, stop drooling now. This season sleek, shiny, flat hair is in. The sleek side part, which is achieved with, of course, a side- parting, and clipped to the side hair, has been used by both Chanel and Balenciaga for their catwalk shows.
