The same rule should apply to your make-up. Here are a few tips from our skin care expert on how to get that foundation feel good factor!
Type of Skin & Coverage
Don't be afraid to ask for help from beauty counter staff. They're employed to help choose the right product for you. You may have heard or read about a new product and want to try it. However, it may not necessarily suit your skin type.
Also bear in mind that what looks good on your friends' skin won't necessarily suit you. Everyone's skin chemistry and colouring varies.
Compliment your foundation
Partner that perfect foundation with good quality application tools for a professional and lasting finish. Carefully choose make up brushes and sponges but don't simply assume that expensive is always best.
TOP TIP
Apply moisturiser 5 to 10 minutes before beginning your foundation application. This will allow moisturiser to penetrate properly and create an even canvas for your foundation layer.
Liquid Foundations
Offers light to medium coverage and can be applied using either a sponge or a brush.
Liquid foundation offers a more lightweight, dewy finish and can be easier to apply evenly on drier skin.
Brushing over with powder on completion helps liquid foundation last considerably longer.
